ClickStrip® Labels - Upgrading to ColorBar software
We have a special promotion that allows all our ClickStrip users to upgrade for free to ColorBar. We will replace your current software with a single license seat of our ColorBar Print or ColorBar Express (same application. Print is installed on pc. Express is a subscription based application used via the web and requires an annual subscription renewal after the first year).
As we discussed Smead will convert one existing ClickStrip label design at no charge and training on the ColorBar software can be scheduled. If you are interested in upgrading to the ColorBar software, please follow these steps:
- We recommend that your IT department review the following system requirements to make sure the new software is compatible with your IT environment.
- Complete the software order processing form either online or via email located at http://smead.com/director.asp?nodeid=1831. Please indicate that you are currently using ClickStrip and wish to upgrade. Please indicate whether you want Print or Express.
- Please send via email to soc@smead.com a screen shot of all existing product keys of your existing ClickStrip software so we can verify that you do own a license. The product key can be found on your jewel case for the software or thru the Help Menu - About Smead ClickStrip - in the actual software program. Please reference your contact information in this email so we can match it up with the completed SOC form.
- Please send via email to soc@smead.com. Please include your design files (.sdf, dzn, .txt and .cmg) so that we can convert them to the new software code. Please reference your contact information in this email so we can match it up with the completed SOC form.

- It takes about 5 to 7 business days to complete the sales cycle. Your upgrade includes a new label design compatible with ColorBar, one training session done via WebEx and 1 year of technical support.
- We will create the new label design compatible with the new software and work with you to get approvals on the new design.
- We will send you an email with the software download and installation instructions along with your new serial numbers.
- We will schedule time to complete the training. Training is optional.
